    AK Stock

I bought my first AK an Arsernal with a Warsaw length fixed stock. I shot that and an AK with a Tailhook brace. The brace was great. The fixed stock was very uncomfortable. To get a proper sight picture I had to raise the stock so only the pointed bottom of the stock was all that touched my shoulder.

Has a NATO length stocks 1.25" longer length been a help for you? The folding MagPul stock is probably my best option. I wanted to keep it traditional. Unfortunately even squaring the stock up it does not work for me

I've never noticed the difference between the two lengths.

If you want to keep it original try one of those cheek risers. They're like $20 so if you don't like it the investment wasn't that much.

This is just an online pic for reference

Thanks Arick. It didn't sound like just over an inch increase in LOP was going to help much. I just looked at the photo again. That would make my issue worse. When the stock is in my shoulder properly I can't get low enough on the stock to get a proper cheek weld and sight picture. Adding a RDS would probably solve the issue. I have a spare M3 just need a side mount.

The best thing I did for a proper cheekweld with irons and a red dot was the Rifle Dynamics M4 stock conversion. It's perfect for me now. Avoid the Zhukov stock. The plastic hinge is not very durable and some of them have had issues folding when slightly bumped from the side. It's the only thing I've bought from Magpul that I was unhappy with.

Thanks. I love the Tailhook Mod 2 brace on my M92 PAP. I have plenty of M4 stocks I can use.

How tall are you? I use those rubber recoil pads on occasion when running optics for longer eye relief. For irons or a red dot, I prefer the shorter stock- nose against the topcover.
