Very nice... I may need to pick one of these up soon.

will the g3 still be made in conjunction with the combat rail?
There are a few difference that make the combat rail different than the G3.
The G3 will still continue to be produced.

The Combat rail has anti rotation built into the handguard instead of the torque plate.
These handguards install without requiring the heating of any parts, timing of the barrel nut, shims or special fasteners, and without the use of any Loctite or other adhesives.
The QDs have been removed from the front to allow users to mount lights further forward on the handguard.
Different lengths are available for the CR that we have not produced in the past.
A titanium barrel nut is an option for those looking to make these as light as possible.

    Hope this helps.

How much weight does the titanium barrel nut cut from the overall?

The titanium barrel nut and hardware will fit the entire new series of handguards we are releasing and will save about an ounce off the weight.

I picked a 10.5 for my 11.5 SBR and discovered the QD sockets weren't anti rotation plus the M Lok slots at the 6'clock don't go all the way to the muzzle (there's just a solid spot where I can't put a rail cover before my VFG). I'm pretty bummed out as I really liked the layout otherwise (light, loved the integral low profile QD's, and attractive design). I'll send it back and pick up the BCM instead...

While preparing it for return I noticed it's QD attachment points ARE anti rotation (they're harder to see than others I've seen) and I tested to verify, but the 6 o'clock slot is still a deal breaker. Again too bad, as I really like this rail otherwise...

I really want to get the 12.6 in to go with my 12.5 barrel. As much as I like my 9.5 Geissele rail, I prefer the feel of a slimmer handguard.
