    3 of the 300 WM's with ELD's

Mark I and took out 3 of our 300 WM guns today. Mark reloaded about 350 rounds this week of 300WM. There were two disinct lots. The 220 ELD-X with H1K @ 74.5 grains with RWS brass and 225 ELD's with 74.5 in Norma brass.

    Three Hundred # 1 is 25inch barrel, 220/RWS load is 2932 fps SD 3 and 225/Norma is 2846 fps SD 9
Three Hundred #2 is 25 inch barrel 220/RWS load is 2934 fps SD of 3 and 225/Norma is 2846 fps SD of 6
Three Hundred #3 is 23 inch barrel 220/RWS load is 2871 fps SD of 3 and 225/Norma is 2762 fps SD of 3

Since we were shooting 3 guns and two loads, we decided to shoot 3 round groups for sanity sake. Mark has pics of the targets but most groups were touching and .50 MOA. The shorter gun shot sub MOA but that may have been the NUT BEHIND THE TRIGGER vs .50 MOA.

It was a rewarding shoot today, everything worked out. Even the LMT popped the 1300 yard target with 168 ELD's. And it shot consistent sub MOA with 16 inch CL barrel.

Its nice when it works out!

    Sweet.

Not much beats leaving the range when everything worked- as you’d hoped.

2900+ FPS with a 220 gr. has to have “vigorous” recoil.
I find it tough to hang with “sight picture/ trigger control” shooting a hard recoiling gun.
    You two must be studs.
    Nice job PB.

It was nice to see a 12 hour 300 Win Mag loading session from last Sunday pay off. Several groups out of 3 guns and only 1 or 2 of the groups didn't have all the holes touching.

Recoil isn't bad on any of the guns as they are all beefy barrels with suppressors.

I would say that was worth the effort.
    Well done.

Nothing beats success, and in this case I am sure it is well deserved. :-)

    Well done.

Yes. This thread may seem gay. But when you have weeks where nothing is going right, and shit is breaking/failing, can't get bullets on targets... Getting out and having a successful shoot is really nice.

    Not gay at all.

When I leave the range and nothing worked, I am irritated to the point of depression.

Not much beats leaving the range and everything came together. Justification. All the work was worth it. Etc.
