Anyone remember the pig tail gas tubes? They cork screwed around the barrel in the EARLY days of trying to figure out how to make carbeans work.

I do remember that. The gas port was on the bottom and made a 180 degree turn right?

Side note, I bought a Bootleg BCG to try out since I didn’t have a BCG for this upper anyways. Hopefully it will work! If it doesn’t, I will do a .078” gas port next with a new BCG.

I remember those. They were somewhat popular on pistol gas length guns.

I've been running the bootleg carrier in several rifles. Its made a huge difference in my 6.8SPC. Badly overgassed with a can, and the bolt would over run the mag and cause malfunctions.
