New Colt barrel markings?

Bought a 6920 built 10/15 and there is no C on the barrel just this.

All other markings are the same as one built in 6/15.

Interesting. Six months ago, this thread reported that Colt was moving all barrel markings under the handguards:

I wonder if they went back to markings forward of the FSB after a brief period of of leaving them off?

Another one a buddy bought was made 6-15, it is marked C MP in front of FSB.

16" and 14.5" markings have never been marked under the handguards.

That topic only pertained to shorty barrels.

Thanks, Scotty, but the important part of that discussion I was referring to was how Colt seemed to have temporarily removed the markings on their barrels forward of the FSB, but now seems to be applying then again, according to this thread.

What's wrong with that? SOCOM barrels are only 4oz heavier and are substantially stronger according to the military and studies from the Wanat battle.

They aren't correct for M4 Carbine's, just the M4A1. I have both and like to keep them that way.
