Looks pretty interesting. Wonder if any elements in SOF will go this route rather than the URG-I.

My first thought is that Geissele already makes that. I know it's not the same exactly... but...

Meh. The only thing I want from DD, they made me buy an upper to get. This is just them trying to clone the Geissele rail to offer an "alternative" to people, over the currently vaporware URG-I.

Pure bitter speculation on my part. Please ignore me.

    DD RIS III

I’m in if they fix the color to the current RIS II offering.

But rattle can will fix it either way.

I prefer the attachment of the RIS to the receiver over pretty much everything else. For that reason alone I’m in on this.

I'm thinking this might be an alternative to the MK16 rail for Mk18s. It would be much easier for a unit armorer to just swap these out using the old barrel nuts already on the guns rather than having to disassemble everything for the G rail.

The attachment system of the RIS rails requires that the rail itself be pretty wide and by default, heavy. Can't they do something a little more streamlined?

They kinda already did that with their current M lok offering. However the attachment method for it is not as strong, as it uses only 4 bolts rather than the 6 of the RIS.

    That’s all our wet dream.

A company in Mesa had a brand new one a few weeks ago for sale, I think they sold it for $1900...

Nvm I think it was used. From their IG.

That's hilarious. DD should licence their good stuff to companies smart enough to produce those items.
