    The left wants them as voters the right as workers. No one wants this problem fixed. A friend of mines grandson was on a ranch on the border in early 2000s. The border patrol issued him a firearm, told him thi carry it, and if he needed to use it, they didn't want to know about it.

    I don't know for certain, but I bet their are a lot of dead bodies on the border no one will admit to. It's rough country, the cartels aren't going to say "hey we're missing pablo, think he was killed, he was on this trail". Americans that are down there and dealing with it aren't going to say, "you know, I live .5 miles from the border and was confronted by some bad looking dudes in no man's land, they're dead now."

    In all honesty though, I think the only way to deal with it, other than a full military presence down there is to legalize drugs. Tax them. Take the money out of it, make them readily available, let the users od. It's a win win
