CZ P-09 question

I thought the P07 and P10C share the same mags just with slightly different base plates.

That is very interesting. I've shot the Shadow, which is a very heavy gun, and the recoil felt very soft. I've never shot the 09. I've been contemplating getting the SP01 which is roughly the same size as the Shadow. But if the 09 is just as soft shooting, I need to rethink my desire. I'm very familiar and love my 07.

Too me it doesn’t make sense either but I have taken them out several times and I always come back thinking the P09 just handles the recoil better.

I still shoot my shadow in USPSA but that’s only because my P09 is stock and just a fun suppressor host.

If I could do it over again I would get a fully decked out P09 from CGW and be done with it.

I love the P09, feels like it has the best attributes of a Shadow and a Glock. Fast transitioning, flat shooting, very accurate, very reliable. Much less maintenance intensive than a Shadow, which I find appealing since occasional lube and a pass with a boresnake is my idea of PM. Mine are set up for Carry Optics, direct milled for the DP Pro by Primary Machine.

FWIW, I picked up an 07 back in march and it came with P10c mags. I ordered a few more P10c mags from Brownells and they work great.

Newer production p-07's ship with the magazines that are compatible with both. Older P-07's don't have the slot cut out for the p10c.

Ahh, that explains it. I have the "gen 1" 07 Duty.
