This is my first quality larger caliber hunting rifle and my first new rifle without a chrome lined barrel. Wanted something with old school looks and class which was quality enough to outlast me and pass down to my son one day. After a lot of tough thinking and researching, I went with the Mark II Safari in .30-06.
For you BAR owners, what is your general cleaning and lubrication protocol both for break-in as well as post break-in? I don't want to have to tear this thing apart super often if I can avoid that. Also, bore snake or cleaning rod with bore guide? Any other unsolicited BAR advice is appreciated as well.
