My kids really shocked me for my birthday this year!

I was sitting here last night putting a book shelf together for my dad, he got for my mom for Christmas and wanted it put together instead of in the box. So my wife and our kids come home. Our oldest daughter says dad put that down for a minute. Of course I say no, I'm busy. So she takes the shelf or whatever I had out of my hand and said you're either going to be happy or mad. When she said that, the first thing that came to my mind was I'm to young for grand kids. . . . .so she had my undivided attention!

Our middle daughter and son (the youngest) step forward with a tiny little dark face German Shepard Puppy. I wasn't expecting that at all. I named him Gunz! He has the same father as our oldest daughters German Shepard. They oughta talk with him, he really sleeps around. So now we have Colt our 10 month old Chocolate Lab and the little fella Gunz!

This thread is worthless without pics.

    Hehehee!

I bet he is adorable. I'm a real softie about little kids and dogs, so you can guess how I feel about puppies.

Cool...very cool. Bet he will be your best dog after he is done peeing everywhere, chewing your slippers, and overturning the trash can.

Undoubted the poor man is pinned to the floor, being licked to death by a 11-pound dog.

That's the only reason that comes to mind, why we have not seen photos of the puppy which we have been waiting for so very patiently.....

So far our new Sheppard has not hit the trash cans. But she has done her best to piss on every white tile in the house and has taken out a pair of slippers.

Ok, to be honest, I have no idea how to post pictures online. I'll have to have my wife or kids do it. I'll have them post pic's of both Gunz and Colt, they're both AWESOME!

Ahh the joys of raising a puppy. Yeah going through the same thing now with our lab / pyrenese mix. We've gotten through the house training in the last month. It's a combination of learning how he signals us that he needs to go (he's very subtle) and realizing that within 10 minutes of him eating that he has go to be taken for a walk or we'll wind up with presents the size of the Hindenberg in the house. He got the message that Mr. Shoe does not like being a chew toy. The current issues are that he's 6 months old and teething, so we have to make sure he's got plenty of chew toys and understands that the coffee table is not a teething ring. Oh and he loves taking momma's clothes that she fails to put away and dragging them all over the house and yard. This is one habit I don't want him to break. I finally have a partner in making sure the house stays clean.
