Guys,
I find it difficult to properly clean the part of the bolt where the gas tube and the bolt meet. (You know, right near the gas rings.)
My old toothbrush and my thumbnail aren't quite cutting it.
What do you guys use?

Pipe Cleaner
Dawn and a piece of ripped cloth under hot water.

If you are indeed talking about the bolt (on either side of the gas ring) and not the bolt carrier... ever since basic training I have used a Brass cleaning brush. In the future to aide on carbon build up try a product like Tetra Lube I use it and the carbon comes off much easier.

Those that "Live by the Sword"...are shot by those that don't use swords.
Cleaning fluid of choice and a brass brush. If that doesn't get it all, then it's not worth worrying about.
