    Colt CAR A3

When I went to the gun store this morning I was shocked to see only a small selection of ARs on the wall. I'll admit I was surprised because everyone up here has guns and I didn't think that the election would have a significant impact but - I've never been more wrong in my life!

However, they did have a couple of these Colt CAR A3s (CAR stands for Colt Accurized Rifle) Model CR6724 for sale and I still want to get my hands on a Colt while I can. I know this isn't a tactical rifle like a 6920 - so - this brings me to my question -

    Anyone know anything about these?

    Is it worth $1200?

I did a search but not much came up.

Thanks for the reply. I did check that webpage out but I am wondering if anyone has personal experience in using one and if they are really worth the money.

That is Colt's version of a varmint rifle. Save your money, unless your intent is shooting prarie dogs and coyotes.

Well, since that's not my intention, then I guess I will pass it by.

    Thanks for the help!

I'd get it, have the barrel chopped to 20" and threaded for a flash hider. Carbine length upper receivers aren't that expensive...
