    kel tec SBR

I found this on the firing line forum...

    http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...d.php?t=321808

I gotta say, that thing looks sweet. Even without the $200 stamp, I wonder how much does this rifle costs with the pistol grip. I've seen full size SU16's with the new pistol grip and stock combo.

I really wanted one a while back but the pictures of cracked receivers and some examples of the rifles blowing up prevented me from purchasing one.

I wonder how they would stand up in a carbine class?

I wouldn't take anything kel tec makes even if offered it for free.

Oh come on now, so they're not as "name brand" as H&K, Ruger, et al. But there are many Keltec pistols, and rifles that have been just as reliable as a Glock, Sig, or Colt. They might not look as nice, but function over form is what matters to me.

    I SBR'd a PLR-16.

I fabbed a receiver adapter to accept an ACE block. No new pictures but imagine this with a short Ace folder and a stubby grip

It's not for SHTF or anything but it looks cool.

True many people look down on brands like kel tec because of their low price or because it's made of plastic.

Oh but it's OK to spend $2,000+ on an FS2000.

I just have a problem with the examples of su16 receivers being cracked at the rear over time.

I'll give you that, but it's also hard to beat Keltec's customer service. They'll do you right.

I would own one as a backpack gun or something that I wasn't concerned about losing.

Yeah that's an ARMS rail for an AR-10 I had laying around. Took a lot of modding on the bracket that fits over the barrel nut to fit. Yes, I also had to open it up so the FSB would fit. I considered cutting down the FSB but I called up Kel-Tec and they would not sell me a replacement if I managed to muck it up or wanted it back to factory original. That's also a Noveske KX3 on the muzzle.

It's completely and totally impractical--but I like the way it looks

If you guys didn't see them yet, there are pistol grip conversions for the su16 rifles.

This is an example from the KTOG.org forum, from forum moderator/member "Liberty4Ever"
