I just swapped my keymod thorntail for an Arisaka mount. I like how much closer in the light is, and that I am able to mount it on the 1-2:00 o'clock position vs. the 3:00 o'clock position. It also has the added benefit of less bulk and weight.

I've been pondering this mount for an 10.5" upper. Does the mount angle down making the light point down?Surefire G2XTac, IWC TMC mount.

It does point downward a bit, but it is of no concern at room/hallway distances.
