Malkoff Hound Dog 18650 (900 lumens/29,000 lux). Needless to say, it's a ridiculous amount of light for a WML but is one of many options I have using the Vltor mount. With the MD2 body mounted, I can quickly switch between this and a MDX22.3-M61T Throw Head (350 lumens/12,000 lux).

Another option - a Surefire 3P clone with Malkoff M61N drop in, powered with a single IMR 18350 cell. This is a great general purpose WML with reasonable weight (4.4 ounces), 300 lumens with a smooth, even pattern and plenty of spill.

I wish I'd thought to take pics of gear back in the late 80's and early 90's we had to be really creative because none of the modern stuff existed for regular snuffies, the snake eaters had all kinds of goodies but us regular joes had to make do.
I remember taking bicycle inner tubes and cutting a little section out of them and stretching it over the hand guards on the old A1's and using them to hold our flash lights, using 550 cord to make all manner of sling rigs.

I need some pics of how y'all have mounted lights on an MOE SL handguard. I'm looking to use a Surefire Fury mounted on the left side, as close to 1200 as possible and maybe pushing it as far forward as possible. Thanks.
Pretty basic but it works. Ariska m-lok mount/surefire g2x.
Should have went with x300 at 12 oclock. Less weight and less crap off the rail.

I decided I needed a light on this build since it rides in my car with me. I went with a Surefire P2X Fury Tactical in an IWC SCMXL mount. It sits perfectly right at the end of my thumb for easy activation.
Anyone still running surefire M9100 lights? If so I would like to see your setup.
