    Greg,

I mis-stated. It was a pressure switch assy. not a tailcap.

An E2E or E2D tailcap will function fine on your ScoutLight, and that ScoutLight tailcap is covered under warranty if it craps out early on ya.

That part is actually covered under warranty as well (The actual tailcap or the tape-switch itself?) Unfortunately we can't send them out (Otherwise everyone would be demanding them), we'd issue an RMA and our Warranty Dept. would Repair/Replace it.

Glad to have another rep here. Welcome and thank you very much for being part of this forum.

I might have a question for you tonight. I need to trial and error something on my G2 before I bother you.

    Again welcome and thanks.

    Dear Sir,
As much as we would like to give an exact release date for the Invictus and Optimus lights, previous experience has proven that this is a bad idea. Both the UA2 and the UB2 are highly anticipated products, and our Product Management team is making absolutely sure that the product released will not disappoint. We are hoping to release around mid-2009, however this date is not set in stone and is subject to change.

    Thank you

I've not had to use Sure Fire CS often which is good. The only two cases that come to mind:

    1. Rechargeable battery sticks on my 8N Nitrolon didn't hold a charge. They sent me replacements ASAP and a week later, I had the goods.

    2. Original bulb on my 6P gave up the ghost. Bought a replacement but the beam on this one did not appear round. Beam had a more diamond shape. Emailed CS and they sent me a replacement that was GTG.

Mind you, in both cases I was overseas. They made it happen. They are my benchmark for customer service with other gear manufacturers.

i have an old e1l outdoorsman, i broke the clip on it about a month after i bought it and just used it as a tool box light or pocket camping light since it didn't have the clip any more. Was purchasing a couple parts for another surefire and figured I would finally buy a new clip to replace that broken one, couldn't find a place to buy the clip for it. I emailed surefire for a part number so that I could order one and replace it and they emailed me back the same day to ask for my ship to info and just shipped one out to me ups. I just got it and thought I'd mention it.
