I’ve testified in many jury trials over the years, both in District and Superior Courts (in WA). Never even heard of a grand jury though (other than Federal). I guess they’re still on the books but I’ve never heard of one convening.

What if this whole crusade's a charade?
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine…
20 years in with 11 more to go. Hard to find a job with the perks I have now and the freedom to come and go as I please. 55 and I am out.

Jurors have trouble using testimony as evidence and the prosecutor explains that in the jury selection. Not every case has dead to rights fingerprint evidence, dna samples, video footage, etc. CSI has made the common public think that stuff is everywhere. We even have the state crime lab reducing the types of evidence we can send in for testing due to extreme volume of stuff to test.i made 3 finger print cases in my career so far. One was a known bad guy where I got side palm prints off a car window where he put his hands to look in for stuff to steal. He then used the car antenna to break in. The other 2 were victims that had criminal records and came back on file.
The sex cases most times jury does not believe the victims verbal testimony and want physical evidence to back up their claims.
Jury trials, the only place where "firearm information" is less reliable than gun store knowledge.
If I wrote down every piece of inaccurate firearm information presented as "evidence" in the Broward County courthouse, I could write a three volume series on firearms.
Vol. 1: Stupid shit lawyers present as "evidence."
Vol. 2: Stupid shit cops and expert witnesses present as "evidence."
Vol. 3: Stupid shit judges and juries accept as "evidence."
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.
