The AR pistol really caught on with the advent of the pistol brace.
They still have a lot of validity even without the brace for a compact package though if you learn how to run them.
There doesn't seem to be much interest in them though...
Why is that?

I have always ran my pistol braceless
Never saw the need to have one.
Braced pistol is the transgender of firearms, it doesn't know what it wants to be.

Yeah, I know--Olympic used to be big around here in the NW before they just up and disappeared taking a lot of other companies' interesting tooling (like the Safari Arms Portsider 1911) with 'em. Just attempting to inject some levity at Hollyweird's expense.
