Apparently Slip 2000 has two flavors. One is worthless, one works. I have a sample of the worthless crap.

I got that bottle free when I bought something and thought the same thing! (This stuff is low-quality crap)

And I wondered why lots of people reported it was gtg.

    So, now i know.

begun the lube wars has, again.

It would be nice if people would explain stuff before making wild remarks but I get it. It's fun.

I was surprised by that as well; any non-polar slippery shit should work. I even know of a couple of guys that use Rem-Oil successfully… they just pour it on frequently.

    Yeah,
Slip 2000 EWL is the best lube/clp I have ever used. Lubed up my pistol before firearms instructor school and did not clean my pistol for the five days of the school. I did this as a test. After the school was over I took a look at the rails on my Glock. The rails were still wet. The pistol was very easy to clean. Most of the pistol was able to be wiped clean without aggressive cleaning. So, from my experience, Slip 2000 EWL is an outstanding lube/clp. Use it with confidence.

Best advise I have in the question; “Gun Oil?”
    Yes. Use it.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
