Noveske Class III lower receiver?

Quick question for those that know NFA procedures.

Today at a local shop I found 2 very nice Noveske lowers complete minus a stock. When I went to purchase the lowers the clerk told me that they were "registered SBR lowers" I've done a little reading up on the NFA stuff but haven't ever seen a S/A lower that was considered class III without a short upper attached.

Please someone point me in the right direction or explain this to me. I'd like to get the lowers. I don't want to sound green but I've never atempted to purchase anything that the ATF has to approve...ATC

Novekse sold registerd SBR's late '07/early '08.

How much were they? Can you pls IM me the name of the delaer if you don't want to file a Form 4/$200 tax stamp.

that is a reasonable deal. Thinking back they we ~$285ish new. Given the crazy crap since the election, seems fairly reasonable. Were they stripped or built?

They were complete lowers.
