    Aimpoint positioning 6920

I have just received my Aimpoint Comp m4. This is the last piece for awhile on my new unfired yet 6920. I have the gun set up with a CTR DD Omega and Magpul BUIS. I did not purchase a mount yet as I have been unable to find anything noteworthy. Could someone please assist me with what mount I should get when available and is it possible to mount it directly??

I plan on taking the gun out and shooting it Wed. I just don't know where on the receiver to put it, if it's possible without a mount??

As always thanks in advance guys.

How did you manage to snag a Magpul BUIS?

You can use the Aimpoint mount that came with the M4, but a LaRue mount is better. Place the M4 as far forward as you can on the rail of the upper receiver. Just keep all of the mount on the upper, don't let it hang over the front.

The CompM4 comes with a mount that isn't bad at all....but a Larue is better. Like was said, mount it as far forward as you can.

I mount mine flush with the front of the upper receiver, leaves room for a magnifier if you choose to run one later and is less obstructive than if it were placed closer to your eye.

I love how the first post is "where'd you get the Magpul BUIS?" instead of answering the guy's question. It was the first thing that came to my mind though, I'll admit.

Hehe, I have no clue about his question. Was just hoping I hadn't missed out on the Magpul MBUS release. :P
