    He's using BCM's version of an A5 length receiver extension which uses longer buffers that take 4 weights and a biasing spring.

    Actually, it was my mistake. I thought you were referring to the OP who was using an A5 extension. Didn't realize Disciple, whom you were responding to, was talking about a carbine buffer. You are correct in what you wrote.
