First use of ATACMS confirmed that 21 helo's destroyed or damaged, not bad for a couple of 27 year old missiles. Would have been nice if Ukraine had gotten them a year ago. So this means Russia will have to relocate air assets outside the 100 mile range. This also illustrates once again the sheer folly of Western countries self banning use of cluster munitions.

If a an airfield is struck with ATACMS, every ATACMS leaves 950 M74 submunitions. So this whole airfield is covered with little holes, also the runway with helicopters 9-15. So yes helicopters 9-15 are also damaged/destroyed. You can clearly see the damage of ATACMS to the runway between 9 and 10 [Red square] on the sat img from

, showing that they indeed attacked the south side to.

New Conclusion:

At least 21 (!) destroyed/damaged Russian helicopters, one radarstation, maybe one Pantsir, after the first use of ATACMS delivered by US.
This is the probably the biggest blow to the Russian Air Force since the beginning of the war.

If true that’s about 10% of the known numbers of KA-52’s russia has still in service. Ukraine has shot down between 30 and 40 of them since the start of the war.

It was estimated that Russia had around 250 of these at the start of this shit show.
