    I don't think anyone has suggested they last forever.

    I cracked a frame on a 226 after something like 25,000 rounds and had a 228 slide crack after a similar round count. They are just a dream to shoot. I think it's been pretty well established the Glocks are the indestructible handgun, the front sight might fall off earlier gens but other than that they are pretty bombproof.

    I've love to see the return of a stamped version with the internal extractor. That's getting to be a grail status pistol at this point.
