    Looking for a training round...(.308)

    Hey All,

I'm looking for a decent training round. I'm trying to stay in the 168gr and higher level of rounds. I know I can shoot 150gr dirt cheap thanks to WalMart but I would prefer to train on a round that is closer to a match grade and weight round.

Any suggestions for a reasonably priced factory load?

    Thanks!

    Jake

Do you reload? if not ever thought of taking it up .... cheapest way to load exactly what you are shooting.
Those that "Live by the Sword"...are shot by those that don't use swords.

Privi Partisan 168 grain .308 match was approximately $13.00 for 20 rounds last I checked.

What are you using your rifle for? Work? Play? Hunting? Matches?

If it's a "work" rifle, practice with the same factory ammo you deploy with. There is no other way to do it in that context.

Otherwise, reloading is probably the way to go - no real need for factory ammo at all if you have all the equipment and load data.
