Lost a good friend last night

Got the news around 11pm, to say the least I didn't sleep well.

He was a Great American. No one had to make him great, he made himself. A Patriot till the end. Non apologetic flag waver.

    A wonderful son.

A mighty warrior (SF in VN). Fought the communists then had to pull his guns several times during the race riots in the early 70s. Rioters looted his parents "mom and pop" grocery store. Had to E&E from their own business to keep from shooting the looters.

Even got cast as an extra in John Wayne's "The Green Beret" when he was stationed at Ft. Benning.

Great friend to all he knew.

    Great husband to his wife.

Got Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma 15 or so years ago. Fought and won against the disease. Had other health issues that took him down at the end. I wonder if some of the sickness were the result from being exposed to agent orange.

    RIP G.C.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

My dad lost a good friend last summer with very similar illnesses. His are likely from agent orange exposure during Nam as well. Very sorry for your loss.

Non-Hodgkins lymphoma is indeed one of the Agent Orange presumptive VA service-connected illnesses.

    May your friend RIP.

Rest In Peace, Green Beret. De Oppresso Liber.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.
