    Lancer L5AWM Gen 2

Time for an upgrade? Looks like the feed lips have seen an improvement.

"Our newly designed GEN 2 feedlips won’t wear, bend, crack, deform, or split under heavy sustained fire, extreme temperature cycling, or extended storage, creating a magazine that is tough enough for military, law enforcement, and competition applications."

Neat. Don't really need more 5.56 mags, but neat nonetheless.
It's f*****g great, putting holes in people, all the time, and it just puts 'em down mate, they drop like sacks of s**t when they go down with this.

Not gonna lie, ease of insertion on a closed bolt is compelling to me, it's what got me to grudgingly accept magpie. Less fumbling under pressure is worthy to me as long as the gun keeps running. I've never owned any Lancer, may be time to try a few. They're pricy, but what ain't, maybe the juice is worth the squeeze. There's always more room in the box of shame.

Gen 1's have apparently been working well enough.

Yup, no issues w Gen 1. Gonna take quite a while to wear them out so doubt I will be buying Gen 2 anytime soon.

Well I guess we can quit innovating or improving, we're all good now. Hell I still run GI aluminum, no issues, oh wait, there's a magpie sticking out of my gun by the bed. I just checked, it does have over insertion stops lol.

TOP = "Test Operations Procedure". Essentially a guide on how to conduct testing of various equipment, including small arms.
