Bioweapon in the Jack Carr's book "The Devil's Hand"

    Ok this is killing me.

I was watching some TV show and there was a scene when a patient in a clinic threw up blood and it freaked everyone out, so they locked down the area. I thought of the Jack Carr's book in which centered around biological weapon that the terrorists planned to use on the US mainland. The disease would cause the victim to throw up blood, blood pouring out of weird places on your body. It's a real disease and I even looked it up when I read the book. Like I put in the title the book's name was "The Devil's Hand". I'm pretty sure of it.

Anyone read the book and remember the name of that disease?

I might have to rent the book again if there's no answer.

I don't want political discussion or conspiracy theory or whatever. Just the name of the disease, if anyone happens to have that book.

    Thanks.

This sounds like a book I've read or something from work.

Yeah that's a real disease similar to Ebola. Read about it in "Hot Zone", years ago. That book was an eye opener.

The really good thing about hemorrhagic viruses, they're very difficult to weaponize.

Someone puking blood in the ED is just another day. Petechiae, bleeding from other holes, red conjunctiva, with puking blood, yeah that'd get our attention.

Forstchen is good…but not in a good way. I burned through most of his books in a matter of weeks.
