    Charging Handles Question...

I recently saw a Colt charging handle, which was advertised as being either "hammer forged", OR "Cold Hammer Forged". I don't remember if "Cold" was used or not, but I know it was advertised as "hammer forged".
Anyhow, it matters not. What I would like to know, is if ALL CH's are hammer forged, OR is this something unique to Colt CH's?? I would think they are all created equal, but just not sure? Do you guys know for sure?
I wouldn't think CH's would be hammer forged at all, but I guess at least the Colts are??
    Thanks for any help.

They are not all created equal. That is why I only buy CMT and LMT forged charging handles.

As I understand, there's forged and extruded, the forged would be recommended. Extruded ones are somewhat like how gutters are formed.

Want to really make your head spin? Start asking around as to who uses forged vs. extruded receiver extensions.
