I don't know but I just went with Larue mounts. Makes it a lot easier.

The Aimpoint Spacer is necesary with the TwistMount so that the 3X Magnifier will be at the proper CoWitness height with your Aimpoint sight on an M4 Carbine. If using an HK416 or similar height rail system you can remove the spacer from your Aimpoint sight and from the TwistMount to provide you with a proper height.

Watch www.downrange.tv/show2 video clip Part 4 to see how to install the Spacer on the QRP mount. It is the same for the 3X Magnifier with TwistMount.

Also, you'll need to "circumcise" your 3X Magnifier, ie. remove the rubber coating around the objective lens, so it will sit in the TwistMount.

Finally, install the 3X Magnifier with the Aimpoint logo on top, so that one of the Allen head screws is at 12 0'Clock and one at 9 0'clock. There is a wrench that comes with the 3X that allows you to adjust the lens of the 3X so that the red dot from the Aimpoint sight aligns to the center of the 3X sight. Interestingly enough one of Aimpoint's competitors recently copied that same design, their previous $30 Chinese 3X lacked that feature....

Oh...before you do anything else RTFM! (Read The "Field" Manual) I know that it is tough thing for us American males to do, but it will help. Best of luck and if you run in to problems don't be afraid to call Aimpoint at 703-263-9795 X223 or ask for John.

LaRue mounts do not use spacers.
