    TR24 v TR21

Looking for a 300 and under scope for target and hunting on a 458 socom.

Can find TR21 fairly easy and cheaper than the TR24's. I understand the main differences are the tube size and true 1x on the TR24.

For this application is there enough of a difference (or at all) to justify the higher cost and wait of the TR24? Will the 30mm tube have higher performance. I know the 30mm tube will have more mounts to choose from.

-- or am I just better off getting the Mk 4 1.5-5?

Nevermind - should have read the 18 page thread first.

    Going to get the TR24G...

Has anybody determined if it has same eye relief? Which Larus mnt is best SPR or SPRE?

    TR21 has 4.8" to 3.4" (1.25X and 4X respectively) of eye relief.
TR24 has 3.2" and is constant from 1X to 4X.

The TR24 will work just fine in the SPR mount, no need for the extended version.
Full disclosure - I am an Engineering Supervisor at Trijicon, Inc.
