Not Exactly at the gunstore, but perusing the interwebs and lookings at gun reviews has got me giggling.

Careful to all you guys who carry guns without safeties. You'll shoot yourselves putting in your pocket, or EVEN INTO YOUR HOLSTER. Welp, looks like we all gotta start carrying condition 3 or one out of the first cylinder.

ETA: I won't even get into how flawed this logic is, let alone the fact that it was a DAO/Pre-charged-Hammer PPX. DA Trigger pull with the ability to thumb rest the flush hammer while holstering. These types of people should not be near guns.

Seriously if you can't keep your booger hook of the bang switch, please don't carry a gun!

That's funny, I refuse to carry any gun in my EDC that has a safety. I've never shot myself.

this thread made me decide to try something out

go be a stupid guy at a gun shop ahahhahahaahha

went in to check out some handguns went to 4 places and I wont bother saying which ones here in PHX
I said I used to plink a bit but want a personal protection handgun
one store mentioned the 357 sig which is my EDC glock 32
one did the 45 is best 9 wont do much to a person ? OK !!!!
others did not seem to care and said does not matter to much 9mm is cheap get that

various bias on glock vs sig vs hk

when handling I did the stupid sideways thing with limp wrist and all and acted like I was lifting weights with it hahahahahah
brought my arms up in a huge arc etc..
    asked about holsters
one place told me fobus are the best !!!!!!! or just use a soft and I think it was some uncle mikes thing generic fit ! told me expensive holsters are a waste of money !

BUT only one place corrected me and was nice and said something like
can I show you how to hold a pistol better and then really took some time with me and suggested I take a good pistol course to try to break my old bad habits and then really helped me (as I was playing dumb) showed me basic correct grip etc.. and again after seeing me really recommend I get some education got to say was nice to hear that and see the guy behind the counter actually cared !!!!

one guy tried to tech talk me acting like he was the most ultimate combat dude who knew everything trying to ask me things so he could sound like he was cool ? freaking idiot !!!!
so to that guy I mentioned I had a old trench shot gun from the 1910-1920 or so said I knew they were used in WWI WWII and Korea and first part of Vietnam (winchester model 12) said it was cool cause it broke into two pieces and could pack very short and small !
he told me no gun like that existed and something about shotguns not being around in WWI hahahahahaha I kept describing it more and more and again he told me no shotgun could ever break down into two pieces that was a pump as it would blow up when you shoot it

anyway thought it would be fun to turn the table and realize there are a lot of idiots working at gun stores just as many as walking in I reckon

Not in store but this is golden

    http://americangg.net/tb-idiot-buys-...fiBuusSKT7h.99

and a new gun owner was posted to the AK-47 Facebook group originally titled “I sold this guy my 7.62 saiga. You might get a kick out of these messages”.

    Buyer: ****ing thing keeps jamming

Seller: It it not ejecting? Not feeding right? What type of ammo? I have honestly never had any type of misfire or jam

Buyer: Won’t feed ammo correctly. 5.56 right?

    Seller: 7.62

    Buyer: What’s that?

    Seller: 7.62×39

    Buyer: Never heard of it

Seller: That’s what caliber that rifle is

Buyer: You told me it was an AK

Buyer: According to Google Saiga AKs take 5.56×45 ammo

Seller: That is 7.62. It is stamped on the receiver

Buyer: I’m gonna stamp your ****ing head

Seller: What the hell is your problem

    Buyer: I have a gun I can’t use

Seller: Get the correct ammo and you can.

Seller: I seriously cant tell if you’re joking around here? I thought you said you were familiar with ak’s

Buyer: No one ****in sells it you half wit

Seller: Every gunshop? Walmart? Jesus christ.

Buyer: The ones that shoot 5.56 I am

Seller: Before you come at me with a childish attitude you need to do your research, be familiar with what your receiver says, hell it even said 7.62 on my armslist ad. 7.62×39 is an extremely common round found anywhere

Buyer: There aren’t any wal marts around me. Jesus don’t sell ammo either you sacrilegious cunt.

Buyer: I don’t want to ****in commie caliber gun

Seller: Nice talking to ya man. Enjoy the rifle

Seller: I’m not 10 years old

    Buyer: You just wait

Seller: What’s that supposed to mean?

Buyer: I’ll find the right ammo

The conversation ends for the night, but numb nuts is back the next morning and his comments are dumber than ever.

Buyer: Still don’t work. Picked up some 7.62 and it’s too big now.

Seller: You probably got 7.62×51 or 7.62×54

Buyer: Dude at Wal mart said it would work

Seller: Don’t take a walmart employees word for anything lol
The seller included a photo of the correct ammunition, which is clearly stamped on the weapon.

    page 23

Buyer: You about to take this dick if you don’t fix this shit

Seller: I’m not going to help you at all if you keep talking to me like that

Buyer: I want my money back

Seller: Go get the right ammo

Buyer: Tell you what… you buy me some so I know what to get and we’ll call it even. K?

Seller: I sent you a picture

Buyer: That’s what I bought asshole

Seller: I’m not even wasting my time trying to help anymore. You’re a douche

    Buyer: Your*

Seller: No. You’re. You’re means you are.

This concludes one of the most painful conversation with poor excuse of a man who should never own a weapon or anything sharper than a feather pillow.

Only problem is, the people who really ARE like what you were pretending to be would be totally offended by some gun store trying to imply they don't know what they are doing. It's hard to run a responsible commercial business where you correct the misconceptions of some people because it hurts sales.

Now if you tell them that "chrome AK" they are looking at looks really good with the watch they are wearing, you might sell get a sale.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

That was just painful to read.

This can't be real. Small children who are just learning to shoot understand the difference between the different calibers.
