First stamp - rather pleased with the process.

That's awesome! I filed my SBR Form 1 using eForms on 11/25/14. With any luck, i'll have my form approved within the next week or so.

It would be really nice to have separate threads for form 1 versus for a form 4.
We all know that form 1 and 3 are taking about a month for approvals.
It's the form 4's that are taking anywhere from 4 months to a year in getting approved and it would be nice to see if there is a pattern.

I'm very interested in how fast Form 4s are coming back myself. I've got a couple Form 4s pending for a pair of cans. My FFL told me they've been seeing Form 4s come back in 4-6 months, with times generally decreasing. I'll be sure and post details when i get my stamp. It's only been about 2 1/2 months so far, so at least another month and a half to go.

Agreed. Form 1s used to be exactly the same as Form 4s, but with EForms there is a 300%+ increase in F4 time vs F1.

It's becoming almost pointless to post in these threads with F1 times as, for the last few pages at least, F1 times have consistently hovered around 33 days while F4 times are anywhere from 4 months to 9 months.

My form 4 was sent paper and only took 4 months. Early August to early December. Used a trust.

Not quite everyone is getting them that fast. I'm on 9 weeks for two efile Form 1s now, quite a few others in MD are also held up waiting on this ATF/MSP snafu to get cleared up.

One they start approving again should go back down to a month though.

My first stamp! And yeah, i know. Another Form 1. But for those who are interested...

    NFA Item: SBR
    Form Type: Form 1 (eForm)
    Transferee Type: Trust
    Date Filed: 11/25/2014
    Date Approved: 12/31/2014

Even with two major holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) that more than likely resulted in four day weekends for a lot of folks who work for BATFE, a total of 37 days passed from submission to approval. Overall, i'm impressed.

I believe i read post in this thread regarding someone's Form 1 being sent back for corrections twice because BATFE wanted the letters used in the serial number omitted from the submitted form. As an FYI, the lower i Form 1'd uses letters in the serial number and it got approved with the letters on the form. As the letters are a part of the serial number, i can't imagine why they'd want them removed. Hopefully whoever's sending those forms back for correction pulls their head out of their ass and gets on with the business of stamping things approved!
