i just got another stamp today. it was mailed to the ATF on October 28. just shy of FOUR freakin months just to transfer a suppressor.

also, i'm waiting on another suppressor to transfer to my dealer. the mfg said they filed the paperwork in late November. I've never had a dealer-to-dealer transfer take longer than 4 weeks before.

this is really just beyond nuts.

Four months, I'm waiting 11.

There are no words. At least no good ones.

I kind of like the idea of a separate trust for each item going forward, like Silencer Shop is recommending, so you can submit without removing and adding trustees. The other benefit seems to be easier disposal of items and sticking your finger in the eye of the ATF.

Why not just go the easier route and submit the form as an individual? Unless you're bent on allowing someone else access to your NFA firearms while you're not around, I just don't see the benefit.

My form 4's on silencers for the past month or so have all been a little under 315 days since submitting, a little shy of 10.5 months.

Anyone else in same boat? I'm seeing people approved a week or more ahead of me. I've never called the ATF to check before, but I'm sitting at 320 days. Thanks.

6933 - it cleared about an hour ago. Printing and saving to google drive now. I always engrave before I submit, so that's done too. I have one more pre 41F stamp pending, a silencer on a F4 and I'm done for a while.

My last two e-form 1s came back this week, both filed 7/9/16 within about 5 minutes of each other. One was approved Monday 5/22, the second yesterday 5/23.

Great, I only have to wait for about 4,000 more permits to clear before mine is up and it was filed only three days after yours.

I think i have a 07/08 form 4 but don't know the permit number.

I wonder how many they process in a day? I noticed today when I tried to log in the site said it is down on Wednesdays from 6 to 6 so they can update the files unobstructed from outside traffic.

ETA: Well they must have heard me complaining... the 07/08 Form 4 cleared today.. or it's yesterday now.
