Totally stoked to have this in six months. My dealer says he still has a bunch pending from July 2016; mostly on trusts.

My dealer is telling me that a new system to file is in use now and that they are expecting all new submissions getting approval within 3-6 months now. Is that complete BS?
Is
"Hello, we're from the government and we're here to help"
6 months could be expected by the first of the year as the "long wait" that needed to be fixed. IOW, same 'ole song and dance. 3 months? Everyone seems to hear about "what" and "when" but I've never heard exactly "how".
They can expect all they want I suppose. I find it hard to believe that it will actually happen. That's just not how the government works.
I just did a form 1 with my LGS and they said stamps had come in between 6 months and 2 months.

If you look at NFA tracker, the timelines for Form 4 Individuals are trending inside of 6 months now - I think one is right at 4 but most are still closer to 6. Trusts are still closer to 1 year. But, assuming there are still some of the glut of suppressors that were sent in last year still in the system, the possibility that they may get down to 3 to 5 months sometime in the near future seems very plausible.
