Official NFA Transfer Times Thread

Some of you are gonna hate me lol.

1) NFA Item: SBR
2) Type: Form 1
3) Transferee: Individual
4) Forms Sent: 6/13
5) Forms Recieved: 6/15
6) Pending: 7/15
7) Approved:_9/30_____
8) Recieved:__10/6____


So I recently updated my Form 1 post, approved the 30th, arrived today hahaha.

EXACTLY 7 days after approved
A total of 109 days after pending

My Dad brought me the Mail and my lower an hour ago

I'm confused. July 15th - Sept 30th does not equal 109 days?

I am definitely hating, because I mailed my forms to the ATF on June 1st and they're still pending.

That was 129 days ago man. I have (3) Forms that are over the 100 day mark. I am not going to lie, when I sent these in I really did think I'd have them by now.

Its 87 days.

If you went pending the first then you should have them any day now.

I called the NFA folks on Friday and their response was "Your form went pending August 9th, we're currently at a wait time of around 5 months"

Has anyone else been given a time estimate over the phone like this?

They told me the same thing.

I had mine 7 days after it was approved.

Not to mention, when I was told it was approved, she said up to 30 days from approval to recieved

I called about 2 months ago and that was exactly how it went. I asked the name of my examiner and they told me but I dont remember now who it was

FORMS RECEIVED 10/3/2011. I am finally legal!!!!!! Not trying to rub it in, but I've been waiting 5 long months for this day to come. Be patient and have fun.

AMAC, will I see the goods this weekend at Woolmarket? I've got a few things pending that are driving me nuts. It would be nice to see some one who succeeded.

Yes, I got the five month spill. I think they have decided that is what they are going to say to cut down on our calls. I wonder how many they get a day?

I believe they do that so people, after finding out their item went pending initially, don't call back in a few weeks checking to see if its approved.

Sort of like a discreet way of saying "Your item went pending August 9th...please don't call back until December"

From what I have read, they receive 10,000 calls a month, works out to about one call every 2 minutes during business hours.

In related news...my items are still pending. 100 days now. Its been 135 since I sent the forms.
