    Sabre Defence AR's

Any owners or on hand experience with these guns??

Might be placing an order & not familiar (curious) with their reputation.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks...

Nice rifles with great barrels. My primary training rifle is a base model XRM4A3 that I purchased two years ago. I've got just over 18k rounds through it with no issues and it still shoots sub-MOA with Prvi 75gr ammo. Eats everything I feed it...cheap steel cased ammo or premium brass. PMags, USGI and Lancer mags all work fine and drop free. It went through six 3-day training classes last year with no failures.

My only disappointment was the commercial receiver extension, which I replaced with a milspec BCM unit. I also dropped in a spare BCM bolt since I had an extra in my parts box. The original single-stage trigger was unremarkable, but adequate. However, I recently replaced it with a Geissele SSA trigger as I believe it's the best AR trigger on the market. One of the few products in recent memory to actually live up to the hype.

I've yet to see another SDI rifle at a shop, gunshow or training class, so my experience is limited to this one example, but I'd buy another if this one disappeared tomorrow.

Yep. That's the one thing about Sabres that make you say WHY?

But it's easily swapped out for the right part.

    .
    1- Cost savings maybe?
2- Keeping a stock pile of MIL spec for their contact builds? (I think that they are only doing A3/A4's now but M4's may not be to far down the road)
    3-?

I have a Sabre upper and another upper with a Sabre barrel, and both shoot really well IMO. No problems.

Their barrels and receivers are first rate. I have two custom built 14.5" mid-lengths with Sabre barrels and receivers. I didn't buy their complete guns because I wanted mil-spec receiver extensions, M16 bolt carriers, and H buffers.

    Talking Great Rifle

I own a M4 tactical from Sabre Defence. I have had zero problems and it fires great.
Fit and finish are also great. The customer service is 2nd to none.
