I was able to pick up an amber post one a little over a week ago. So far i am impressed. From what i was told there are only a few dozen on the market right now.

About a month ago I talked to a Trijicon rep I know. He says that they're going out slowly in very small numbers so far.

My opinion -- the NF is more precision-oriented. I think the TR24 is a good choice for a 16" middy general purpose carbine, something you might consider instead an Aimpoint + magnifier combo. The NF would be a good choice for a stainless barrelled rifle, not quite an SPR but maybe what I'd call a RECCE setup (hopefully my understanding of that configuration jives with the commonly accepted version).

Now somebody hurry up and get some in stock so I can order one, my rifle is nekkid waiting for an optic and mount...

I think it depends on the reticle chosen as to it's intended application
