PWA lower and the Accu-wedge

I have seen rear lugs on upper receivers that have been ovaled out because people insist on using an accuwedge. They would insert the wedge press the upper and lower as tightly together as they could then pound the take down pin through, the pin eventually makes its own ramp and "groove" in the rear lug to ease the process.

That's not the accuwedge causing that. The receiver is being damaged by applied stupidity - why cut the cheap plastic part when aluminum is malleable.

you could do it the "right" way by using the jp tension pins... if you insist on having no play between the upper and lower

+1, accuwedges are gayer than a boys party at Elton John's house. The theory that they improve accuracy (ACCUwedge) is farking horseshit. So long as your upper is gtg, the fit between the upper and lower doesn't matter.
