Pmag lip question (magazine dated 10/08)

    Hey guys,
I just noticed that one of my Pmags has small section missing on the feed lip. Out of all my Pmags, this is the only one that has this. Strange thing is, the area that's missing happens to be where the rim of the casing would sit at. I don't know if this was caused by my rifle...or by operator error, but it would seem strange since the polymer used is pretty damn strong. I have to repeat that only this magazine has this, and I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues? That said, the magazine continues to operate 100%, and I haven't had any problems with my other Pmags. The manufacturing date was 10/08...and is one of my newer Pmag (my newest one being the new generation model).
Pictures here...and thanks in advance for any info.

I would suggest you contact Magpul directly or you can PM one of several of their guys who post here and I'm sure they'll take good care of you. Travis Haley and Chris Costa post on here and they're both with Magpul.

They're with Magpul Dynamics... the TRAINING DIVISION.

Contacting Magpul Directly would be better.

That is purely visual. It will have absolutely zero effect on function of the magazine or your weapon.

More than likely it was chipped off while loading rounds...

Yes contact Magpul directly as the CEO does not need to solve this problem unless it is not getting solved through the regular channels but Travis does claim to now be the CEO of Magpul Industries (the manufacturer)
    • formerly known as "eguns-com"
    • M4Carbine required notice/disclaimer: I run eguns.com
•eguns.com has not been actively promoted in a long time though I still do Dillon special
orders, etc. and I have random left over inventory.
•"eguns.com" domain name for sale (not the webstore). Serious enquiries only.

+1 they have people for this. if you want Magpul, or any innovative manufacturer, to keep being innovative, don't bog the bosses down with simple warranty calls.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

Alright, this is most likely operator/user induced. As I said earlier, I haven't had any problems with the magazine, and there are no visual cracking around the lips. I'm also starting to wonder if using my LULA loader on it had anything to do with it.

I may contact them later, but I don't really want to go through the hassle with it now because Magpul's being swamped with orders/demands...especially since the magazine is still functioning at 100%.
