    Alliant Reloader 15

    Accurate Arms 2230

    Ramshot TAC

I personally float between AA2230 and TAC myself, which ever I can find with Bulk Hornady 55 gr FMJ (6K Box-o-bullets) and Widners 62gr "MILSPEC" FMJSCBT. I think the 'steel core' is a copper washed steel jacket cause it doesn't penetrate anything like the green tip. I picked up some SIE 77 MKs I was going to try out with some TAC, Varget, RE15 and a couple of others but the 55's and 62s have been doing fine for me this winter, 150m or less lately. As previously stated, both powders work well with 55s and 62s and meter well being ball style powders. TAC has alittle more fflexibility with the heavier bullets.

For SBRs, look at 223 handgun loads to see which powders burn more efficiently. As REN stated above 4198 is hard to beat s far. I was running 21.9gr of IMR 4198 w/ MIL/FED brass and WSR primer for 2550-2600 w/55's out of an 11" with a 223 chamber. Watch the lot#'s on 4198. It doesn't all burn the same. My previous lot I was running 21.0. Some books call for almost 23.0 grains, work up.

    W748 or H335.
    Mainly loading 55Gr FMJBT
Tried some Varget, but it meters like crap in my Lyman powder measure.
With W748 or H335 i can set the measure and it throws the same amount
    every time.

It definately isn't the best feeding powder out there. I've actually had better luck with Varget since performing the "Dillon RL550B Powder Measure Retrograde".

your rifle is as individual as are you, there is no chiseled in stone load for your rifle, if you have the patience, try several powders and primers it took me almost 1,000 rounds of various loads for my LWRC ODA to put 5 rounds of 62 Gr. bullets in a 1 inch group after 2,500+ rounds the barrel needed replacing, i used the same rounds in the new barrel and guess what ? i got 3 inch groups, now starting over tweaking the load a bit, i am back to 1 1/2" groups. BTW.., this is all 100 yd. shooting.
