First time firing my new build...

Just test fired my new build. A 14.5, 1/7 with feedramps Bushy upper, Colt BCG. F/A FCG.
Ran fine, no extraction problems, no short stroking, and no bolt bounce in F/A either. I did have a couple of popped primers. Not too quick to blame the carbine as it did happen only twice in the first mag during the whole session and Im hoping it wont again...
Cleaned it this morning, fairly obsessively I think. Im trying to prevent carbon build up on this one as best as I can.
Question is, how do you clean the crown of the barrel? Any methods that dont require the removal of the FH?
    Thanks!

    col crocs.

    just finished my build too.

DD A4 Flat top Upper Reciever
CMMG 14.5in Govt Profile M4 barrel with "F" FSB
    DD Lite rails 7.0
    LMT Rear Sight
    Aimpoint ML2 in a Larue LT150
F/A Colt BCG (from my old unit)

mine worked fine too... in F/A and single shot mode. I used a PWS DNTC comp.

No need to clean the crown. there's a chance you could mess it up.

    Mr. Goodtimes.

gun laws are strict here. but as long as you're a good standing citizen and can afford the exorbitant price of firearms.. you're good to go.

Thanks!! Nice specs! Nice to see you finally got your CMMG
BTW, you used an old BCG? Why? Im hesitant to do that because of possible headspace issues. Id swap out the bolt atleast. The old carrier's fine.

    Yup!

Thanks Mr.Goodtimes. Ill probably just put a few drops of ATF on the crown to try and dissolve it.
Like Lance said, guns laws are strict but only as to who to issue high powered rifle licenses to but once you get one, whether your gun is or isnt F/A is a none issue. Semi's are actually more rare than F/A's around here.
