    Loading with pulled bullets

I recently bought 4K of 55gr pulled M193. They were supposed to be hand pulled, but are actually machine pulled. Most are ok, but it looks like 1/4 of them have deep pull marks and cannot be used. I've reloaded many K's of rounds, but have never reloaded any with pull marks until now. Will the pull marks make a big difference in performance. This ammo is just going to be used for plinking out of my 1/12 SP1's.

Never had any problems - 10k worth of 55gr, maybe another 5k of 62gr steel cores. I use a Dillon so placing the bullet on the shell by hand lets you "inspect by feel" and only the really deformed, rough burrs, etc get tossed. I never had any issues even with gashes and unless is goes beyond the cannelure, I use hit.

Like you, just for plinking. I figure as long as you are using a chrome lined barrel, your are good to go.

Thanks for the reply, have you ever heard of using a sizing die to re-true the bullets? I talked with a guy at the range yesterday and he said that he uses a re-sizing die (for lead bullets) to resize his pulled military. I'm going to sort my bullets and load what I can. Then I'll try this re-sizing die. It's only $14.

I was about to purchase some pulled 62gr on gunbroker, but was unsure of how they would function myself. any problems with accuracy even in plinking?

I use 54 grain tracer pulls, (20% lite rate) for plinking ammo.

They shoot fine, reasonably accurate and most importantly, CHEAP, (at least when I bought them).

I've not ran across anything to screwed up yet.
