No way! What if someone secretly sold you that Airsoft pts crap? Also what would you do if Magpul told you they were on backorder?

Something is really wrong there. I tightened the shot out of mine and had no trouble at all.

I don't think Magpul should play games like that. If they are developing other stock designs and will not be manufacturing more UBR stocks then lets come clean about it. It is leading the customers on which I think is dishonest business practice!
Several UBR stocks were sold through their dealer network in both black and FDE, so it is not a case of them not delivering any product. I know I had opportunities to buy more than one of either color (there were a number in stock at both Brownells and G&R T) and I did buy one in black when they were sold as prototypes. So I don't see them as dishonest in this.
There are none so blind as those who will not see.

You missed my point or I was not very clear. They have in the past released batches of them - somewhat like market testing - see if people are really interested in the product.

I did not catch that batch sale. However, it is not as available as the PRS or CTR type stocks. To release a few at a time and then to decide not to go into full production is what I am upset about.

Of course they can do what they want, and I can respond by buying elsewhere. They still make good products though.

Oh yes, I did not place any orders for the UBR stock and then wait 2 years. I only place an order for something that is immediately available. If it is on backorder, I don't bother. I am too impatient.

Strange as I picked up two of them back in fall of 2008. I guess I can put the black one up on Gunbroker for 1 milliiiiiiiiioooon dollars.

I like that they are rare, it's awesome that not everyone has one! I also got an m98b on the way. You just have to know when and where to look man.

Oh gosh I hate those words "full production." It's not that kind of stock in my opinion. If you think Magpul has any mal-intent or is practicing in the grey, you are mistaken. I bet they are making as many as they can and the QC on them along with the material is amazing and unlike any other stock. And it's not like you can't get one! My dealer just got 5 in and is of course sold out. Stop the whining shell out the extra $75 and buy one on GB, holy crap! Just be thankful they are not $600 and though marked up a bit, readily available!!!

sounds like brownells is trying to clean house on their backorders.. they're probably just dropping anything older than so-many months. most of those credit cards probably dont work anymore anyway.

del-ton called yesterday.. the pmags i ordered in october are ready to ship, but they're having a "problem" running my credit card... the card i used to use for gun part ordering, but cancelled because i kept getting backordered on products i was TOLD were in stock, was totally and completely unable to cancel the order and/or was told i'd get hit with "re-stocking" fees. i dont need so many credit cards anyway.
