I'm looking at ordering a new barrel for my government model 1911 and plan on getting a suppressor in the future (if we'll still be able to own them in the future) and have read that many models require a longer barrel for the suppressor to mount properly. I'm going through Storm Lake and they make a 5.76" and 6.76" barrels. From your guy's experiance would the 5.76" be long enough to accomidate most models or do I need the 6.76"? The suppressors I'm looking at are the Gem-Tech Blackside and the AAC Evolution. Thanks in advance.
