    drum roll please......
    a Hornady 5.45x39mm 52 grain VMAX load..........who would have ever thought we'd see a

Here's a write up with testing.................

    What do you guys think?

Wonder how their 5.45x39mm load will stack up against their 5.56 TAP load
Finally 5.45x39mm AR owners will have a purpose built domestic load for self protection.

    Cool Price will determine success....

I am uber excited and am sure that this round will perform better than any other 7.62x39mm round in terms of terminal ballistics. However, just like Corbon's DPX load in this caliber....if it costs too much, nobody will buy it. If it is just right (I would wager between $15 and $20 per box of 20), I bet it will sell like hot cakes. It becomes quite difficult for people to jump from paying $5 per box of 20 rounds to $30-$35 like in the case of Corbon. Especially with the 8M3 HP loaded in the Wolff Mil Classic that actually shows true fragmentation (AND excellent penetration) for the AK. The wolff MC HP costs no more than any of the other el-cheapo rounds out there.....we shall see. This excites me though.

I am *very much* looking forward to test results in calibrated ballistic gelatin.
