    All,
The company for sale is NOT Black Hills Ammunition. We just expanded into a nice new facility and we like it here. Jeff Hoffman

Same thing I saw after poking around a bit. WSJ ran a news squib regarding an Energy company in Iowa by the same name on June 3rd.

    Then there IS this link:

Sturgis ammunition maker sold to Remington
By Black Hills Weekly Group staff | Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Sturgis’ leading ammunition dealer is under new ownership.

Remington Arms Company, Inc. announced through its fully owned subsidiary DA Acquisitions LLC has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire certain assets of Sturgis-based Dakota Arms LLC. The transaction closed Friday, June 5, and includes the Dakota, Miller Arms, Dan Walter and Nesika Bay Precision brands.

Al Russo, a company spokesman for Remington Arms, said the manufacturing plant in Sturgis will remain open.

“We have no immediate plans to move at this time,” Russo said.

The business currently employs 35 people who all will be retained and be considered Remington employees.

Dakota Arms was established in 1982 and is the leading manufacturer of custom and semi-custom rifles for sporting markets.

“Dakota Arms is an icon within the industry, and its fine products exemplify quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail,” Ted Torbeck, CEO Remington Arms Company Inc., said in a release.

“We look forward to continue to develop and expand the Dakota brand,” Torbeck added. “We also thank all its employees for their continued dedication and success of Dakota Arms.”
