I have a Century R1A1 with what i believe is an L1A1 lower and buttstock. My question is can i change out the Pistol grip & buttstock to the metric pattern without a lot of modification. Thanks in advance.

When in doubt,empty the magazine.
Metric furniture only fits on metric lowers. Same with Inch.

I wecsog'ed an L1A1 safety with a file to fit a Belgian FAL. I did this because I have smaller hands and could not reach the original safety while gripping the pistolgrip. It works fine and I can now reach the safety much more easily.
I have an Israeli FAL. I was wanting to basically build a whole new riflee from some of its parts. I want a new receiver(upper & lower) new 16" or 18" barrel. I'll use the butt stock and handguards from my rifle. Is this possible? Which brand of receivers and/or barrels would work?
love my DSA SA58. It is a great gun. Accuracy may not be AR level, but it is 100% reliable.
Yes, www.dsarms.com.
They make both Type 1 and Type 2 uppers (the serialzed part) and both steel and aluminum lowers.
They also make barrels.
*edited to add that it would be much easier and probably cheaper to just buy a new DSA FAL and put Israeli handguards and buttstock on it.*

Thanks Templar.
These are some of the parts im thinking about using (if they would work together)
1. Type 1 or 2 reciever w/o handle cut
2. 16.25" or 18" chrome moly barrel
3. Alloy Picatinny Metric Lower
4. Ambidextrous Semi-Auto Selector Switch
5. Picatinny Metric Gas Block
6. Extreme Duty Extended Scope Mount
I would like a folding charging handle. I will use the Israeli handguards and stock that I have, might refinish them. And a SAW grip. I will have the finished rifle cerkoted. Also need bolt, bolt carrier, gas piston.
Any opinions?
This will be my Scar 17s FDE brother
