It's retained by the four screws on the bottom of the Micro. So it's a dedicated mount.

Placed an order for a SA58 carbine w/ 18" barrel and type 1 receiver sans carry handle. I was told, based upon previous orders by my dealer, that it may take about 6 months before I see it, which is not a bad thing as I need about that much time to pay for it. It will also give me time to start stocking up on mags and ammo.

I got mine (18" full stock and gas system) from this guy-great to deal with and his site shows the stock.

I had the Para, was nice, but shooting it wasn't.

My stick is slick other than a light like LAV has in the pick.

Ok thanks to a new friend in the industry I have a prototype back. They have a long history with this stuff, so I didn't turn it out in my garage.

    Intial impression I like it.

Low mount for the Micro on the FAL. It is not QD.

Please tell us more-as in where do you get it?

If it works out I'll see about having some more made. I might have them turn out a couple more for some of the high volume shooter SME's, dealers and industry guys to break, I'm sure they will do it before I do.

This was just a concept I wanted to try out. I have to many irons in the fire right now to do a personal production ready testing. Templer, the first ones yours if you want.

It does look damn good. Any thoughts about making a Para top cover like that?

I'd be very interested in one.

My dealer received an updated delivery time of 3-5 months. Apparently DSA is catching up to demand.

I just picked this up from a buddy, slightly used....

    DSA SA58 Para
    18" premium barrel
    Standard full length gas system
    DSA Type II upper receiver
    Aluminum lower receiver
    FN M249 grip
    DSA Para scope mount
Para bolt carrier with sand cuts
    Para folding cocking handle
    Buttstock tubes shortened to 9.5"
    LOP is now 13.5"
    DSA standard handguards
    T48 trigger guard
    Gemtech Quick Mount flash suppressor
Kahles 1.1-4x CSX illuminated dot scope
    LaRue 1.5 qd mount
    BFG VCAS sling

I'm going to attach a piece of picatinny rail to the handguards to mount a while light.

    I like that topcover.
I replied to your post about it over in the "Files"

Can you shoot me some info on possible availability/cost?
Is this the one that Mark Graham got you hooked up with?

I'm presently using the DSA setup on my carbine but would like to be able to co-witness it.

    Thanks
    Wes in az
