I think you'd be better off getting a magpul stock and calling it good. Why? Anything that's measurably lighter is probably going to be weaker too. Besides, magpul stuff is built as tough as a brick shithouse.
As far as losing any more length...they don't make a shorter receiver that I know of, so if you've got a 16.25" OAL barrel and flashhider, the only other thing you could do is take off the rubber butt pad on the magpul stock (assuming you used that one) to save you a 1/2" or so.
Honestly though, most stocks are going to be withing a few ounces of each other. Unless you're going to be humping this rifle around for miles on end, is it really going to make a big difference? Lift weights, problem solved.
